Roundabout Repairs and Closure St Rt 257 and Home Rd

ROUNDABOUT REPAIRS & CLOSURE St. Rt. 257 & Home Rd.

A message for the Ohio Department of Transportation:

As most of you know, we have a severe pavement heave in the northwest area of the inside lane of the St. Rt. 257 roundabout. We have devised a plan to repair this which entails milling out about 90' of asphalt and replacing with concrete to eliminate any further heaving. We have coordinated with the county on detour options for this closure and will only close what access points to the roundabout that are needed to access the problem area. We plan to close this section on Tuesday September 15th at 7:00am and will have everything opened back up before evening rush-hour on Wednesday September 16th. Both of the Home Road westbound lanes will have to be closed going through the north side of the roundabout to have room for equipment and safety of our crews.

 DETOUR ROUTES AS FOLLOWS:

HOME ROAD WEST TRAFFIC WILL TAKE 257 NORTH - 42 SOUTH - 745 SOUTH BACK TO HOME ROAD. WE WILL RESTRICT THIS TWO LANE TO ONE LANE COMING UP TO THE ROUNDABOUT USING THE RIGHT LANE TO CHANNEL TRAFFIC NORTH ON 257 FOR THE DETOUR.

257 SOUTH TRAFFIC WILL TAKE HOME ROAD WEST - 745 SOUTH - GLICK ROAD EAST BACK TO 257.

257 NORTH TRAFFIC CAN STILL GO NORTH ON 257 AND EAST ON HOME ROAD ONLY. THE HOME ROAD WEST ACCESS WILL BE CLOSED DURING THIS REPAIR.

HOME ROAD EAST CAN STILL USE 257 NORTH OR SOUTH BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE ROUNDABOUT TO COME BACK WEST ON HOME ROAD.
